The Truro Fire Service provides a variety of fire prevention and public education programs to the community. A full-time Fire Inspector is available for inspections, special concerns, new construction, etc. The Truro Fire Service also offers training courses on fire prevention in the home and in the workplace, fire extinguisher training, and school programs. Station tours can be arranged for groups of children or adults.

Please be reminded that any open-air burning requires a permit. View the pdf Outdoor Fires Bylaw (226 KB) . Permits are available at the Truro Fire Service and cost $10.00.
