Pursuant to Section 168(2) of the Municipal Government Act, notice is hereby given that at a meeting held on September 14, 2026, Town Council gave First Reading to the proposed Council Procedure By-law, B100-008.
The proposed by-law is intended to establish clear and consistent procedures for meetings of Council; support transparent, accountable, inclusive, and effective decision-making; ensure Council meetings are conducted respectfully and efficiently; provide appropriate opportunities for public participation; clarify the relationship between Council, the Chief Administrative Officer, staff, and the public during meetings; and comply with the Municipal Government Act and other applicable legislation.
