Pursuant to Section 168(2) of the Municipal Government Act, notice is hereby given that at a meeting held on June 1, 2026, Town Council gave First Reading to the proposed Wildlife Feeding Prohibition By-law.
The proposed by-law is intended to clarify and strengthen regulations prohibiting the feeding of deer and other wild animals found in the Town's current by-laws. The proposed by-law will also regulate the placing or leaving of food or other attractants that may encourage wildlife activity within the Town.
Town Council intends to consider Second Reading and adoption of this bylaw, including the repeal of Bylaw B130-005 – Feeding of Wild Birds and Animals Bylaw, at its meeting to be held on:
