Canada's Parks Day

In honour of Canada Parks Day and having such a beautiful park in the heart of town, Truro Parks Recreation and Culture hosts a Canada Parks Day Celebration each year in Victoria Park. On the 3rd Saturday of July each year. This year's event will take place on Saturday, July 15th, 2023.

12:30pm – 4:00pm Victoria Park, Truro (29 Park Rd.)

12:30pm – 1:30pm Victoria Park Challenge Kids Run! Pre-Registration is required.
2:00pm – 4:00pm Live Music by Gordon Tucker.
2:00pm – 4:00pm Balloon Animals, Air Brush Tattoos, Bouncy Houses & Yard Games.  

VP Challenge - Kids Run
The Victoria Park Challenge is a children's race that integrates a series of challenging obstacles. Participants are tested on their stamina and agility as they navigate a scenic route through the lower area of Victoria Park in an unforgettable race. Make sure to dress in clothes that you can get dirty and be sure to have appropriate footwear!

Age Categories
Age 9-11 - The age 9-11 race is is roughly 3km's long; participants will get to do a bit of a trail run and then complete the obstacles in the ball field. 
Ages 7-8 - The age 7-8 race is is roughly 1km long, they will get to do a bit of a trail run and then complete the obstacles in the ball field. 
Ages 5-6 - The age 5-6 race is confined to the baseball field in Victoria Park; they will do two loops of obstacles.
Ages 3-4 - The age 3-4 race is confined to the baseball field in Victoria Park.
