Take notice that, pursuant to section 19A of the Nova Scotia Heritage Property Act, the Town of Truro Heritage Conservation District Plan and By-Law was amended by Truro Town Council on February 12, 2024, and the amendment was approved by the Minister responsible for the Heritage Property Act on February 4, 2025.

  • Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use Bylaw Amendment
    The purpose of the proposed amendments are to correct typographical errors, formatting errors, and omissions.  These amendments are not substantive in nature and are intended to ensure that the Town's Planning Documents clearly and effectively communicate Council Land use policies and regulations.
These public hearings will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the 3rd floor of the Town Hall, 695 Prince Street.

  • 1 Logan Street/9 Bayview Street

Development Agreement Application by Lindsay Construction/Fathom Studios on behalf of Stanfield’s Ltd to permit a mixed-use development consisting of 381 dwelling units and 4789 m2 (51,545 ft2) of commercial space on lands at 1 Logan Street and 9 Bayview Street (PID nos. 20479747, 20183166, 20479754, 20196648, 20479770, and 20479762). The proposal includes new buildings and renovated/repurposed industrial buildings along with approximately 6,350 m2 (68,350 ft2) of publicly accessible space along the Salmon River.

The purpose of the amendment is:
