...Each summer, Truro Parks Recreation and Culture hosts mid-summer Movie Nights in Victoria Park. A popular attraction for locals and tourists alike, the movies are shown on a 20-foot screen at the park's J. Arch Fraser bandshell. Hundreds of people gather each year to take in classic, new and family-friendly movies while enjoying the fresh summer air. Please bring your own chair.
Movies start at dusk approx. 8:45 - 9:00 pm.
Complimentry healthy snacks provided in partnership with the Truro & Area Community Health Board.
In honour of Canada Parks Day and having such a beautiful park in the heart of town, Truro Parks Recreation and Culture hosts a Canada Parks Day Celebration each year in Victoria Park. On the 3rd Saturday of July each year. The 2025 event will take place on Saturday, July 19th, 2025.
Each July 1st, Canada Day, the Truro region is full of events and activities. Many events are hosted in the region by the Town of Truro, Downtown Truro Partnership, and the Village of Bible Hill.
Hundreds of excited children converge on Victoria Park each year to participate in the annual Easter Egg Hunt, hosted by Truro Parks, Recreation and Culture.
The Town of Truro has partnered with the Municipality of Colchester, and the Village of Bible Hill to host the Annual Easter Egg Hunt!
The 2025 Easter Egg Hunt will be taking place on 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟏𝟐𝐭𝐡 with ticketed time slots available starting at 10:00am.
This event will be held at four different locations. Please choose the location option closest to your residence and pick up your FREE tickets at the designated office.
Limited tickets are available on a first come first serve basis.

1. Town of Truro - Victoria Park
Tickets can be picked up at the Douglas St. Recreation Centre at 40 Douglas St during business hours (9:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday).
2. Bible Hill - Bible Hill Recreation Park
Tickets can be picked up at the Village of Bible Hill Office at 67 Pictou Rd during business hours (8:30am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday).
3. Colchester - Fundy Discovery Site
Tickets can be picked up at the Colchester County Office at 1 Church St during business hours (8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday).
4. Colchester - Tatamagouche: Nelson Memorial Park
Tickets can be picked up at the Tatamagouche Public Library at 170 Main Street during business hours (Tuesday 12pm-8pm, Wednesday 10am-2pm, Thursday 12pm-8pm, Friday 10am-2pm, Saturday 10am-1pm). The County Office will have limited tickets on hand.
